Michael Bowes-Lyon, 18th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne

Michael Fergus Bowes -Lyon, 18th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne ( born June 7, 1957) is a British former politician and army officer.

Bowes -Lyon was the only son of Michael Bowes -Lyon, 17th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and his wife Mary Pamela McCorquodale. He is the great-nephew of the late Elizabeth Bowes -Lyon. He is married to his third wife since 2012 and has four children.

Education and training he received at the Sunningdale School, Eton, the University of Aberdeen and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. The Scots Guards he reached the rank of captain.
