Michael de la Pole, 3rd Earl of Suffolk

Michael de la Pole (* 1394, † October 25, 1415 at Agincourt ) was an English nobleman and the eldest son of Michael de la Pole, 2nd Earl of Suffolk.

He fought with his father during the conquest of Harfleur, where he died. Michael succeeded him as Earl, led his title only a short time when he was just 21 years in the same year at the Battle of Agincourt. His successor as Earl was his younger brother William.

Family

De la Pole was at the age of 9 years ( in November 1403 ) with Elizabeth Mowbray, daughter of Thomas Mowbray, 1st Duke of Norfolk, married, with whom he had no sons, but three daughters:

  • Catherine de la Pole (* 1410), a nun in Bruisyard
  • Elizabeth de la Pole (* 1411 )
  • Isabel de la Pole (* 1415)
