Michael Gruber (actor)

Michael Thomas Gruber ( born November 1, 1964) is an American actor and singer.

Life

Gruber was born as the youngest of four children in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has two sisters and a brother. Already at an early age showed Michael Gruber great interest in gymnastics and diving. At 14, he became the second best diver in his age group worldwide.

His passion was acting and he studied theater at the University of Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music. His Broadway break came erlang with A Chorus Line, in 1989-90.

Michael Gruber played, among others, the role of the cat Munkustrap in the musical Cats, both in Broadway productions as well as in the video film version of Cats in 1997 /98.
