Michael Haass ( born December 12, 1983 in Essen) is a German handball player, his position is back center of the room.

The 1.94 m wide Haass began ten years ago with the handball. In 1993 he played at the TUSEM food, for its Bundesliga team he ran aground in 2001. With the TUSEM Haaß won the 2005 EHF Cup. He then moved to HSG Dusseldorf; the following year he played at the Rhein- Neckar Löwen and then from 2007 to 2009 at GWD Minden. From 2009 to 2013 Michael Haass stood at Frisch Auf Göppingen under contract. With Göppingen he won in 2011 and again in 2012 the EHF Cup. Since the 2013/14 season he plays for the SC Magdeburg.

In 2006, Michael Haass his debut in the national team, with whom he won the 2007 World Cup. He was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf for this triumph.

When Handball he is right-handed, but writes with his left hand. Haass is single and electrical engineering student.
