Michael Hahn'sche Community

The Michael Hahn'sche Community ( " Hahn'sche brothers ", " Michelianer " ) is a gathering movement of evangelical Christians that has emerged from the Swabian Pietism out.

History

The community goes back to the farmer's son Johann Michael Hahn ( 1758-1819 ). At the age of 20 years, he experienced his first central vision ( Vision). Others followed, of which he spoke in meetings. In the so-called edification, where Hahn interpreted the Bible, many people flocked. Only after the death of Michael Hahn they gave themselves the name Michael Hahn'sche community. Beginning of the 19th century, some of these communities wanted to separate even from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Württemberg and emigrate to the Holy Land, close to await the Kingdom of God. However, Hahn prevented both a mass emigration, as well as a separation of the community from the state church.

Organization

The communities are now represented mainly in old -Württemberg and North Baden region. There are 225 local meetings. These are grouped regionally in 24 community districts. The number of members is about 3500. A formal membership does not exist. The community offers retreats for younger and older brothers, mothers, sisters and other children. The hours visitors usually belong to the Evangelical Church community where they live.

The Hahn'sche community is organized as a registered association based in Böblingen. It is like independence and has therefore not connected to the evangelical Gnadauer Community Association, although its members maintain friendly personal relations with members of other communities. It publishes the periodical internal to the members of the M. Hahn'schen community. On an Internet presence is deliberately omitted. A public relations does not occur. Practice and teaching

In addition to visiting the morning's worship service on Sunday, they meet regularly in addition to the one-hour hour ( Bible study ).
