Michael Jackson (writer)

Michael Jackson ( born March 27, 1942 in Wetherby, West Yorkshire, England; † August 30, 2007 in London) was a British expert in the field of beer and whiskey tasting ( tasting) and the author of several standard works on the subject. In 1994 he received the Glenfiddich Trophy. In 2006, it was announced that Jackson was suffering from Parkinson's disease.

Jackson had in the English language major impact on the categorization of beers, especially his 1977 book, The World Guide to Beer set new standards here.

His nickname was Beer Hunter ( English for "Beer Hunter " and a pun on Deerhunter, " deer or Rehjäger ").

Michael Jackson died of a heart attack at his home in London.
