Michael Jäger

Michael Hunter ( born 1956 in Dusseldorf ) is a German painter.

Life

Hunter received in 1985 a grant of the Arts Foundation of Baden- Württemberg and 1987, a guest scholarship of the Villa Romana in Florence. In 1992 he designed a three -storey reaching window façade for the new building of the Paracelsus -Klinik in Marl with a glass painting. The divided by the basic formats of the glass panels screens painted by artists with a colored, amorphous figuration.

1993/1994 he took a teaching painting at the Fachhochschule für Gestaltung in Pforzheim. He joined the 1995/1996 Visiting Professor of Art at the Justus -Liebig- University Giessen. In 1997, hunters a scholarship at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. At the Fachhochschule für Gestaltung in Pforzheim hunter had 1998/1999 was a lecturer for drawing. In 1999 he was Artist in Residence at the Royal Danish Art Academy in Odense.

For the artist Edenkoben 2004 he received an Artist in Residence. "Hell, almost too colorful and carefree, the acrylic glass photo by Michael Hunter, the downright celebrated with paint and oil on Diabond the effect of many different colors in a relatively small room look. His works are a tribute to only the color and the irregularity [ ... ] " Eva Maria Weilemann wrote in the newspaper The Rhine Palatinate of 20 March 2006 on hunter final exhibition in Edenkoben. A bark Hoff Scholarship, combined with a stay in the artists' houses Worpswede had Hunter 2004/2005.

Hunter is a board member of the German Association of Artists. He lives and works in Cologne.
