Michael Maul

Michael Maul (* 1978 in Leipzig ) is a German musicologist and author.

Life

Maul studied in the years 1997 to 2002 in Leipzig, Musicology, journalism and business administration. At the Albert -Ludwigs- University in Freiburg, Germany, he earned his doctorate in 2006 with his work baroque opera in Leipzig ( 1693-1720 ) (2007 awarded the Gerhart Baumann Prize for Interdisciplinary Literature

Maul is a lecturer in musicology at the University of Leipzig and the University of Music and Theatre Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Leipzig and acts regularly as a writer of radio programs for Germany radio culture. He is a member of the Executive Board of the New Bach Society and the Bureau of Central German Baroque music in Saxony, Saxony -Anhalt and Thüringen eV ( MBM ).
