Michael Morhaime

Michael Morhaime (also called Mike Morhaime ) is president and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, a video game developer in Irvine ( California).

Life

In 1990 he received his bachelor's degree from UCLA, he is also an alumnus of the local fraternity Triangle Fraternity.

Together with Don Daglow of Stormfront Studios and John Carmack of id Software, he was honored in 2008 at the 59th Annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards for the creation of Blizzard 's World of Warcraft.

Morhaime plays poker and reached the second place in the 2006 edition of DICE 's Celebrity Poker Tournament. On the last lap Mike Scott Fischman and Perry Friedman were ( professionals of the World Series of Poker ) and Ray Muzyka, co-founder and CEO of the computer game developer Bioware, opposite. After a dramatic 45 -minute poker duel Ray was the winner.

Morhaime is also a member of the Level 90 Elite Tauren Chieftain, a metal band, founded by and with employees of Blizzard, he himself plays the bass.

2012 Morhaime was from the corporate network, Ernst & Young as " National Entrepreneur Of The Year " in the category of technology excellent.
