Michael Rispoli

Michael Rispoli ( born November 27, 1960 in Tappan, New York ) is an American actor.

Life

Michael Rispoli is one of eight children of an Italian -born New York family. He attended the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and came there as a drama major. He graduated from in 1982.

After minor supporting roles he took over from the mid-1990s, larger speaking roles in movies like While You Were Sleeping, To Die For, and Not Guilty. A wider audience, he was known for his role as Jackie Aprile in the mafia series The Sopranos.

In addition to his roles in films and television series Rispoli plays theater. He made his debut in 1984 at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company co-produced Lanford Wilson's play Balm in Gilead, directed by John Malkovich. Later roles assumed in Macbeth, Love Diatribe, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Little Blood Brothers and Judgement Day. Rispoli is a founder of the Willow Cabin Theater Company.
