Michal Bílek

Michal Bilek ( born April 13, 1965 in Prague ) is a former Czech football player and current coach.

Playing career

Michal Bilek began playing football at Sparta Prague. From the 1982/83 season he was used in the first team. During the season 1983/84 he moved to RH Cheb there to his military service abzuleisten. In early 1986 he returned to Sparta and established himself as a regular player. After ten goals in 26 games in the 1989/90 season he was obliged by Spanish side Real Betis. Betis got off the Table, Bilek remained one year. 1992/93 he played again at Sparta, but switched after only one year to Viktoria Zizkov. There he was able to return to his old form in four seasons and in 1997 back to Sparta, but remained only a short time. For the season 1997/98 Bilek went to FK Teplice, where he was a regular player and scored eleven goals in 76 games to 2000. The 2000/01 season started the now 35 -year-old Bilek in the 7th league at the Prague Club Haje Jižní Město, but had to end his career due to a serious knee injury after a few months.

National

Michal Bilek debuted in the Czechoslovak national team on 27 October 1987 at 3:1 against Poland in Bratislava. In 1990 he took part in the World Cup in Italy. His 35th and final international game, even for the national team of the Czech Republic, Bilek completed on 29 March 1995 against Belarus in Ostrava.

Coaching career

Cartaginés to Costa Rica. 2002/ 03 he was the coach of the Czech Under-19. From 2003 to 2006 trained Bilek Chmel Blšany. From July to September 2006 was Bilek coach of FC Viktoria Plzeň. From September 2006 to May 2008 trained Bilek Sparta Prague.

In the 2008 /09 season Bilek coached the Slovakian first division club MFK Ružomberok. In July 2009, he was assistant coach of the Czech national team in October 2009, he became coach of the Czech national team, after Ivan Hasek retired from the coaching position in order to devote himself exclusively to the function of the association's president .. On September 11, 2013, came due failed to qualify for the World Cup 2014 in Brazil as coach back.
