Michel Raynaud

Michel Raynaud ( born June 16, 1938 in Riom ) is a French mathematician who deals with algebraic geometry.

Raynaud studied from 1958 to the Ecole Normale Superieure and was a student and close colleague of Alexandre Grothendieck, in which he also received his doctorate in 1968 ( Faisceaux amples sur les groupes et les espaces schémas en homogeneous ) in the 1960s. Since 1967 he is professor at the University of Paris-Sud in Orsay.
