Michele Brown

Michele Mary Brown, born as Mary Michele Mason, ( born July 3, 1939) is a former Australian high jumper.

Career

At the age of 17, Brown participated in the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne and took part with the third attempt skipped 1.67 m in sixth place. In the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff in 1958, she won the gold medal with 1.70 meters. Four years later she was in 1962 in Perth at 1.73 m third at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games.

Your most significant international success celebrated Brown at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964. With skipped 1.80m, she won the silver medal behind the Romanian Iolanda Balas (1.90 m) and before starting for the Soviet Union Taissija sealed Tschik (1.78 m).

At the end of her career, Brown won at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in 1966 in Kingston at 1.73 m for the second time after 1958 the title.
