Michele Tenore

Michele Tenore (May 11, 1780 in Naples, † July 19, 1861 ) was an Italian botanist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " ten. ".

Tenores family came from the Abruzzo region. His medical studies in Naples, he graduated with 20 years ago. His strong interest in botany, however, was enhanced by his acquaintance with Domenico Cirillo and Vincenzo Petagna, so he practiced only a short time as a doctor. He made ​​several botanical excursions in the Abruzzo, Capri and Ischia.
