Midrash Eleh Ezkerah

Elle ezkera (also: Asara Haruge Malchut ) is incurred after 500 aggadic Midrash.

It is named after Ps 42.5 EU: of those I will remember and describes the execution of ten famous Tannaim:

The report is unhistorical, the ten men lived at different times and could not be executed simultaneously. The number 10 is nachgeschoben to construct a connection with the ten brothers of Joseph.

This font was in the Middle Ages next to the Aqedat Isaac the foundation of Jewish martyrology and is therefore preserved in numerous manuscripts and versions.
