Migdal haEmek

HaEmek Migdal (Hebrew מגדל העמק, Arabic مجدال هاعيميك, DMG Miǧdāl hA ʿ Imik; "Tower of the Valley " ) is a town in the Jezreel Valley in the North District of Israel with a population of 24,700 ( 2005). It lies a few kilometers south-west of Nazareth.

Migdal haEmek was founded after the establishment of Israel as a development town. The name of the settlement refers to the location on the northern edge of the Jezreel Valley.
