Miguel Ángel Ponce

Miguel Ángel Ponce Briseño ( born April 12, 1989 in Sacramento, California ) is a Mexican- American soccer player who is acting in defense and in midfield and currently with Club Deportivo Guadalajara under contract.

Career

His debut in the Mexican Primera División Ponce celebrated on 24 April 2010 in an away game when his team Cruz Azul, which ended 1-1.

Quickly Ponce has established itself as a regular in the defense against Chivas Guadalajara and completed inter alia both finals at the Copa Libertadores in 2010 against the Brazilian top club SC Internacional (1:2 and 2:3 ).

In 2011, he took with Mexico as a guest team in the Copa America 2011 in Argentina and has been used in two games. Different from Mexico but after the preliminary round.

In summer 2012, he participated with the Olympic Team at the Olympic Games in London, where Mexico won the gold medal for the first time. He was inducted into five of the six play, including the final against Brazil. For Mexico, this was the only gold medal in London.
