Mika Lehtinen

Mika Lehtinen (* May 23, 1975 in Turku ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Bolzano in the Italian Serie A1 since 2010.

Career

Mika Lehtinen began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior section of TPS Turku, for his first-team debut he was in the 1993/94 season in the SM- liiga, where he prepared a goal in two games. In the following season the defender was Finnish Champion with TPS for the first time. In parallel, he played as well as the following year as Players out on loan for Kiekko -67 in the I divisioona, the Finnish second division. In 1996 and 1997 he was in Finland, while at European level in the 1996/97 season won each runner with TPS with his crew, the first edition of the European Hockey League. In the seasons 1998/99, 1999/2000 and 2000/ 01 he won a further three times in a row, the Finnish league title with TPS Turku.

From 2002 to 2004 Lehtinen was for MODO Hockey in the Swedish Elitserien on the ice. He then spent a season in the SM- liiga with the Espoo Blues, before he returned to his hometown club TPS Turku from 2005 to 2007. After he had lost his place there, he joined the season 2007/ 08 the HC Milano Vipers from the Italian Serie A1. After the club was disbanded, he moved in the highest Italian league to Asiago Hockey. With his new club, he was in season 2009/10 Italian Champion. Since the 2010/11 season the Finn for Asiago HC Bolzano League rival plays.
