Mika Väyrynen ( born December 28, 1981 in Eskilstuna ) is a Finnish football players. It can be used in the central and in the attacking midfielder. Since July 2012, he is at HJK Helsinki under contract.

Career

Association

Väyrynen began his career in 1999 at FC Lahti in the First Division. In 2001 he moved to FC Jokerit, which he but after only half a year left direction sc Heerenveen. To him also Inter Milan was interested at that time. But he chose the Dutch, because there he had a better chance of a regular place. In Heerenveen, he became the top performers and key players. For the season 2005/ 06 he moved to Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven. Right at the beginning of this season he was thrown back by an injury. On 17 December 2005 he made ​​his debut for PSV in the Game against Willem II Tilburg. He could enforce this season no longer and he had often held the audience role and came to just eleven games, where he scored two goals. In the following year he hardly played a major role in the PSV team. For the 2007 /08 season Väyrynen flirted with a move. With the Glasgow Rangers and Derby County were found two potential buyers. At the end of a transfer occurred due to a calf injury, but did not. In the Dutch league, he came in 2007/ 08 to only one use. A new change of thought in the summer of 2008 was shattered by another Blessur. Since his move to PSV Eindhoven, he won three championships with the team in a row. However, he never belonged to the starting eleven and usually had the role held as a spectator. For this reason, Väyrynen joined the 2008/09 season again to league rival sc Heerenveen, where he was already between 2001 and 2005 under contract. After his contract was not renewed in the summer of 2011, he joined Leeds United in September 2011 on, to which a few weeks earlier, his compatriot Mikael Forssell had tied.

National

Väyrynen was one of the stars of the Finnish junior national team during the 2001 Junior World Championships in Argentina.

His debut for the A- team of the Finnish national team, he was on 20 March 2002 against South Korea. Since then he has established himself as a key player and completed 28 games. Here he succeeded in two goals. Through its ongoing violations but he manages to fit almost always in the national team.
