Mikhail Balandin

Mikhail Balandin Jurjewitsch ( born July 28, 1980 in Lipetsk, Russian SFSR, † September 7, 2011 in Tunoschna near Yaroslavl, Russia) was a Russian ice hockey player.

Career

Mikhail Balandin began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, for the first team, he was active from 1999 to 2001 in the Super League. In parallel, he played it in the 1999/2000 season in the Wysschaja League, the second Russian league, for Disel Pensa Krylia Sovetov Moscow and. The 2001/02 season began the defender at Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the Super League, but left the club after just four inserts and closed for the next three years the league rivals HK Lada Togliatti, giving priority to in the season 2002/ 03 in four games, was on the ice for his former club Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

From 2004 to 2008 Balandin played two years for the HK CSKA Moscow Moskovskaya oblast and Chimik in the Super League. Then Chimik name into Atlant Mytischtschi for which ran aground the former youth international between 2008 and 2010 in the Continental Hockey League newly established.

For the 2010/11 season merged HK Dynamo Moscow and HK MVD Balaschicha to OHK Dynamo, for the Balandin continued to play. In 2011 he returned to his hometown club back to Yaroslavl.

On September 7, 2011, he died in a plane crash near Yaroslavl killed.

Internationally

For Russia Balandin took part in the U20 World Youth Championship in 2000. In this he took his team to second place. In seven games, he gave it one assist.
