Mikuláš Konopka

Mikulas Konopka ( born January 23, 1979 in Rimavská Sobota ) is a former Slovak shot putter.

The Junior World Champion in 1998 retired from the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and at the 2001 World Championships in Athletics in Edmonton in qualifying.

In the Indoor Athletics Championships in Vienna in 2002, he finished in third place originally, but was later disqualified for doping with stanozolol and banned for two years.

In 2004 he finished tenth in the Olympic Games in Athens, 2005 sixth in the European Indoor Championships in Madrid and eleventh at the World Championships in Helsinki.

A preliminary rounds off at the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 was followed in 2007 the gold medal at the European Indoor Championships in Birmingham and a resignation in qualifying at the World Championships in Osaka.

At a doping test on May 13, 2008, he was tested positive for Methandrostenolone and then live long locked.
