Career

At the age of 17 years Milaim Rama and his family moved to Switzerland and played shortly thereafter as a hobby footballer for FC Interlaken in the minor leagues, where he quickly attracted attention with his performances. In July 1997, the FC Thun secured the services of the talented striker, who was an integral part of the team of the then NLB league team immediately. During the first four seasons of the Bernese Oberland his goal tally was constant but not outstanding (2, 5, 8 and 7 goals). In the 2001 /02 season he began to soar and shot under new coach Hanspeter Latour 25 goals in 35 games. He helped the Thunern order for promotion to the top Swiss league, which was the club in its history managed only once before ( in 1954/55 for a year ).

In his first season in the NLA in the meantime naturalized in Interlaken striker played 33 games and scored 20 goals. In the following season 2003/ 04 he claimed in the league now Axpo Super League named, and was able to record 10 goals in 34 games in his account. His outstanding achievements have had a steep climb to the episode, which led him to the squad for the Swiss team. After he was initially able to compete in two friendlies against Germany and Slovenia to Switzerland, he was called up for the Euro 2004 in Portugal. In this tournament, he came on a mission when he came off the bench in the final group match against the Swiss France.

In the same year he moved to midfield striker surprising in the German Regionalliga FC Augsburg. His stint in the northern neighboring country was short-lived: it was limited to 13 inserts. Milaim Rama decided in the summer of 2005 for a return to Switzerland and went to FC Schaffhausen. He promptly was again nominated for the Swiss national football team, but no more used. In Schaffhausen, where he scored 5 goals during 26 matches, it kept Rama also not last long. On 3 July 2006 he returned to his old club back in FC Thun.

Abruptly, followed a year later a difficult phase for the Bernese Oberland club. Although the FC Thun played on 27 February 2008 nor the Cup semi-final against FC Basel, but lost that as well as the fight against the looming, forced relegation to the second- highest division. Thus, the FC Thun played from the 2008/09 season new in the Challenge League. The 2010/11 season began for Milaim Rama good at first, although he never played the full 90 minutes, but acted as Einwechslungsspieler. After his recovery, he graduated with the team preparing for the second round, but at the last test match, he pulled a broken arm and had to until end of February 2011 refrain from further operations. In the cup match against Neuchatel Xamax on 2 March 2011, finally he made his comeback, but after 46 minutes he had again injured from the field - he had broken the same arm again. Another application of Rama is not expected before early April.
