Minhwa

Minhwa [ Minhwa ] literally means "people's painting". The folk painting in Korea was created during the Joseon Dynasty. She was, as the name implies, is not a traditional ink painting, but produced generally anonymous painter photos for practical purposes, by imitating the ink painting. The preferred objects were mythical figures, mostly animals such as tigers, carp and Elster. They symbolize happiness, wealth and health. But everyday life is presented.

The Minhwa painting was almost lost until it was revived in 1980 in the 20th century.
