Minuscule 28

Minuscule 28 ( in the Gregory- Aland numbering ), ε 168 ( von Soden ), is a Greek Minuskelhandschrift the New Testament. Using palaeography was dated the manuscript to the 11th century. Previously it was cataloged as Colbertinus 4705.

Description

The Code contains the text of the four Gospels on 292 parchment leaves ( 23.1 × 18.7 cm) with some lacunae. He was described in one column per page, each with 19 lines.

The words are written continuously without interruption. The letters are " careless of one ignorant scribe " wrote, " but contain many remarkable readings ". Inizialbuchstaben are executed in color. The Minuskelhandschrift also contains the Eusebischen canon, Synaxarion and footnotes.

Lakunae (gaps ):

John 19:11 to 20:20 and 21:5-18 later ( 15th century) were inserted by hand.

The Greek text represented in the Gospel of Mark the Caesarean text type and in the remaining Gospels, the Byzantine text-type. Aland therefore ordered Markus in Category III and the remaining part in Category V.

The Code was examined by Wettstein and Scholz ( 1794-1852 ). It is kept in the Bibliothèque nationale de France ( Gr. 379 ) in Paris.
