Culture and sights

Interesting is the natural park Serra de Aire e Candeeiros in whose territory the municipality lies partly. The area around Mira de Aire is known for its cave walks through the biggest ever discovered cave formation Portugal, the Gruta dos Moinhos Velhos, better than Grutas Mira Daire known.

The baroque, originally built in the 15th century parish church Igreja de Mira de Aire Paroquial (also Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Amparo or Igreja Velha ) is a listed building.
