Mirko Vidaković

Mirko Vidaković ( born October 29, 1924 in Lemeš; † August 15, 2002 in Zagreb) was a Croatian scientist and forestry has emerged here as a forest botanist, dendrologist and an expert on the genetics of forest trees.

Life

Mirko Vidaković comes from a family of bunjewakischen Batschka .. He was an engineer by profession of forestry. After his studies he worked at the forestry faculty in Zagreb and led the Arboretum Trsteno. Vidaković was HAZU academics since 1968 and president of the Croatian genetičko društvo from 1980. He worked as a UNDP -FAO expert in Pakistan, Vietnam and Hungary. In 1996, together with the Vidaković Forest Enterprise Šumarija Našice the first clone seed plantation of oak in Croatia.

Works

His works have been published in many editions of books such as Publications in international symposia, consultations and conferences, mainly in the field of environmental assessment of the Littoral Karst, mechanization of agriculture, adaptation of forests in the context of climate change, etc.
