Mirror of Deception is a German Doom Metal band.

Your style refers to the band as " Unorthodox Doom Metal". In addition to significant influences of style defining doom metal bands of the 1970s and 1980s, this also includes influences from other rock and metal genres, as well as subtle folk influences that manifest themselves sometimes in the melody.

Band History

Mirror of Deception in 1990 by Jochen Fopp (guitar) and Michael Siffermann (guitar, later vocals) founded in Göppingen. From 1993 to 1997 three official demos, as well as a mini-CD were released. The debut album was released in 2001 Mirrorsoil on the English label The Miskatonic Foundation and has been licensed in Germany by Iron Glory Records. Following the departure of former singer Markus Baum Hauer, the band recorded in 2003 as a quartet, the mini-CD conversion on and the current guitarist Michael Siffermann took over the vocals. After redeployment on bass and drums was released in September 2004, the second album Foregone on the Belgian label Final Chapter. The band played concerts at home and abroad, among others with Count Raven and Reverend Bizarre in Finland. In spring 2006, Mirror of Deception signed the South German label Cyclone Empire, on which the third album Shards was published in October 2006.
