European loach ( Misgurnus fossilis )

The loach ( Misgurnus ) are a genus of loaches ( Cobitidae ). The reason fish have an elongated, 20 to 30 centimeters long, round in cross-section, covered with small scales round body and a rounded caudal fin. The under constant foot has three pairs of barbels on the upper and two pairs of the lower jaw. You live in Europe and Asia in stagnant water and on the banks of rivers. They strongly prefer vegetated areas with mud bottom. Loach also Darmatmer and can swallow atmospheric air. Therefore, they can survive in risk of prolonged heat or drought waters. The larvae resemble the loach with its external gills of the larvae of salamanders. Today's population is highly vulnerable to drainage of river marshes, swamps and bogs, the species is on the Red List.
