Mohamud Muse Hersi

Mohamud Muse Hersi, also called Adde was, on 8 January 2005 to 8 January 2009 President of the de facto autonomous region of Puntland in Somalia.

Hersi is a member of the clan of the Darod Majerteen. He lived in Canada until he after Puntland / Somalia returned in 2001, Jama Ali Jama to assist in the power struggle against Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed. In 2003, he signed as a proxy Jamas a peace agreement with Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed.
