Mona Nørgaard

Mona Nørgaard ( born February 23, 1948) is a former Danish orienteer. It was 1974 individual world champion.

The World Championships 1974 were held in Silkeborg, Denmark. With her ​​victory in the 7.9 km long single run, they had nearly three minutes ahead of the Swede Kristin Cullmann. With the season they came in at number six. In 1975, she won at the Nordic Championships Nørre Snede the title ahead of the Finn Liisa Veijalainen. Here was their lead with over two minutes relatively large. As defending champion in 1976 she traveled to the world championships in the Scottish Aviemore. Here Liisa Veijalainen won the individual competition of the ladies before Kristin Cullmann. Nørgaard was fourth.
