Monica Stoian

Monica Stoian (born 25 August 1982) is a Romanian javelin thrower.

She was seventh at the World Junior Championships in 1999 and won the silver medal at the Universiade 2007. She also participated in the 2007 World Championships in part and the 2008 Olympic Games. At the 2009 World Championships, she finished fourth, when she was able to achieve a personal best of 64.51 meters in the first attempt. In the subsequent IAAF World Athletics Final, it reached seventh place again.

Plagued by injuries was the 2010 season, very disappointing. Due to their poor performance, it was also not considered by the Romanian Athletics Federation for the European Athletics Championships in 2010.
