Monique van de Ven

Monique van de Ven ( born July 28, 1952 in Zeeland, Noord Brabant as Monica Maria Theresia van de Ven ) is a Dutch actress.

Van de Ven was born in the village of Brabant, Zeeland and grew up in Rijswijk. She attended the Toneelacademie Maastricht ( acting school ) in Maastricht and one year the Royal Academy of Beeldende Kunsten ( Academy of Music and Dance at the Academy of Fine Arts) in The Hague.

Her film debut in 1973, the female lead role opposite Rutger Hauer in the film adaptation Wolkers Turkish Delight, directed by Paul Verhoeven has already brought it to the breakthrough and international attention.
