Monsieur Vincent (also: St. Vincent in Austria ) is a French film about the Saint Vincent de Paul ( 1581-1660 ), who is considered the founder of modern charity. He describes the efforts of this priest for peace and harmony among the peasants and the nobles, while in Europe the plague rages. Against all odds and obstacles in spite of it can not be dissuaded from his charitable way.

1948 ran the film in the United States and won the honorary Oscar in 1949 as Best Foreign Language Film.
