The secret of the hidden island ( original English edition Monster Mission ( 1999) and Iceland of the Aunts (2000)) is a children's book author Eva Ibbotson of.

The English edition was in November 2000 under the title of Iceland of the Aunts " Best Book of 2000" by the journal School Library Journal. The book was published in February 2001 in the German translation by Sabine Ludwig in Cecilie Dressler Verlag and 2003 license as unabridged paperback edition in Deutscher Taschenbuch Verlag. In 2003 it was published in a radio play processing of Katrin Wenzel directed by Christoph Dietrich von Igel - Records as recorded music. Action

The three old aunts Etta, Coral and Myrtle, who live on a secret island, maintain mythical creatures that are due to environmental disasters fled to them or stranded on the island.
