The Mont Blanc de Cheilon is a 3870 m high mountain in the western Pennine Alps. It is located west of the Pigne d' Arolla, near the Italian border. He is the head of the valley of the Val des Dix. The mountain has an imposing north wall, is formed at the foot of the Cheilongletscher of two side arms.

As a base for an ascent to the north lies Cabane des Dix ( 2928m ) or the east lies Cabane des Vignettes offer ( 3158 m).

Summit routes

The normal route of Mont Blanc de Cheilon goes over the Col de Cheilon ( 3243 m) and the west ridge ( the end points II) to the summit.

Also worthwhile is the excess over the east ridge, with descent via west ridge. To this end, climb up the eastern branch of the Cheilongletscher in the Col de la Serpentine ( 3547 m) and from there via the East Ridge (II- III) to the summit.

In winter you can climb Mont Blanc de Cheilon with touring skis. It also goes over the west ridge, but built a depot and go the last few meters to the summit on foot.
