The Pizzocolo On Maderno

The Pizzocolo is a towering above Lake Garda in the Italian province of Brescia, in Lombardy region mountain. He belongs to the mountain range of the lake and mountains is 1,581 meters above sea level, the highest elevation within 15 kilometers on the western shore of the lake. It rises immediately northwest of Toscolano -Maderno. Due to its exposed location at the point where the north very narrow lake opens into a wide water surface to the south, it is visible from a number of banks from different directions.

The Pizzocolo possesses due to a pronounced rock projection on its northeast flank a very distinctive silhouette and a high recognition value. The mountain is a popular destination, and the summit can be reached on foot or by mountain bike on the moderately rising southern and western slopes. The flanks of the north side fall in comparison from relatively steep.
