Montilla
Montilla is a Spanish city in the province of Córdoba.
Geography
The Spanish town of Montilla is located in the south of the province in the geographical center of Andalusia in, about 44 km south of the provincial capital of Cordoba.

The soils are extremely calcareous, therefore, knows that " Tierras Albarizas "
History
Probably the Battle of Munda took place here. 1453 Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba was born at a local chateau, its owner, his father, Pedro Fernández de Córdoba, Mr. Aguilar was.
Economy
Montilla produced almost exclusively wine. From a white grape variety Pedro Ximenez four different basic types of wine are produced: Fino, Amontillado, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sweet wines of, basis for Málaga and Cream Sherrry. The used barrels are partly used later for maturation of different Scottish whiskeys. Alcohol (not aufgesprittet ): at least 14 percent by volume.
Climate
The climate is basically Mediterranean Montillas with some continental strikes.
