Monty Hall

Monty Hall, OC, OM ( born August 25, 1921 in Winnipeg, Manitoba as Maurice Halperin ) is an Emmy Award-nominated Canadian show host and television producer.

Career

Hall initially studied chemistry and zoology at the University of Manitoba before It Rich began in the early 1950s with shows like Bingo At Home Strike and his career as a showman.

In 1958, he developed his first show called Keep Talking. His next show, Your First Impression, he could place in 1962 on NBC. During filming, he met Stefan hatos, one of the production staff of the show. With this together, he founded a production company, and already their first joint development, the game show Let's Make a Deal (in Germany SAT1 under the title go the whole hog! Produced ), was a great success. Hall himself stood on his show from the broadcast, which was first, then broadcast 1963-1968 on NBC until 1976 on ABC. For this he was nominated for an Emmy. From one of his shows a problem from probability theory has become popular, the so-called Monty Hall problem, also called Monty Hall problem.

Family

Joanna Gleason, the daughter of Monty Hall, is a Canadian actress, considerable success as an actress in film and television, but especially celebrated in the theater scene.
