Monty Python's Fliegender Zirkus

The British comedy troupe Monty Python turned in 1971 and 1972 especially for the German and Austrian television two episodes of Monty Python's Flying Circus. Basically, these are two special episodes of Monty Python's Flying Circus.

Both episodes were produced in Germany, while the first episode was completely spoken in German, although none of the Pythons could speak German. The result is quirky (which provides an additional laughs ), but mostly understandable, especially given John Cleese. Alfred Biolek (along with Thomas Woitkewitsch ) producer and also appeared as a speaker and performer in the Flying Circus on.

Many of the sketches contained therein have been specially written for the German series, the only new edition of an existing Sketches came the Lumberjack Song as Lumberjack Song ( "I 'm a lumberjack and feel very sick, I sleep ' at night, and hack a day ... " ) ago. The second episode was then rotated in English, allegedly because it could be sold internationally by better.

On German television, the two-parter was sent under the title " Monty Python in Germany " (EPG, Teletext & program guides ).
