Moon over Naples ( Spanish Eyes ) is an 1965 book written by Bert Kaempfert song that was first published purely instrumental on the album The Magic Music of Far Away Places with Decca Records. The song reached number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and # 1 on the Billboard Easy Listening charts. For the composition Bert Kaempfert in 1968 won a BMI Award. Sergio Franchi 1966 took a cover version with lyrics by Charles Singleton on.

In the version of Al Martino, with a text by Eddie Snyder and renamed to Spanish Eyes, the song was an internationally successful hit and a number -one hit in Belgium. The song was Al Martino's signature song. In Germany alone, more than 800,000 singles sold. The album of the same name was Martino's third Top Ten album.
