Moravské Lieskové

Moravské Lieskové (Hungarian Morvamogyoród - to 1902 Morvalieszkó ) is a municipality in Nové Mesto nad Váhom Okres within the Trenčín Region in Slovakia.

Geography

The municipality is located in another Považie the little river Klanečnica. Ending the place itself is still at the foothills of the White Carpathians, the mountain itself there are several small settlements ( Slow Kopanice ), which are also within the municipal area. Moravské Lieskové 7 km from Nové Mesto nad Váhom and 11 km from the Czech strání and is located on State Road 54 between Nové Mesto nad Váhom and Veseli nad Moravou.

In addition to the main town Moravské Lieskové the community (all in the mountains) is divided into the vilage Brezovec, Bučkovec and Šance.

History

Moravské Lieskové was first mentioned in 1398 as Lezkow and belonged to the estate of Beckov.
