Morphia (Dutch band)
Morphia is a Dutch symphonic doom metal band that was founded in 1995. Their music is a mix of Doom, Death and Gothic Metal.
History
In 1995, Werner ( vocals), Erik ( bass), Bert (Mixer), Martin ( guitar), Roger (guitar ), Ernst -Jan (drums ), Peter (keyboards) a death metal band that over the course of time to a Symphonic Doom Metal band developed. In 1997 the demo CD "Poison Minded " was brought out.
In 1998, the Dutch on their first CD Unfulfilled Dreams, which was then published in 1999. Once they reached a certain notoriety, the singer Werner left the band and therefore the lookout was kept for a new singer. When Jasper was then added as a singer in the band, they wrote more songs, from which in 2001 the new CD Frozen Dust was created. In cooperation with the Dutch label Fear Dark this was published in 2002. Over time Morphia played with known bands like After Forever, altar or Saviour Machine. Album fading beauty was in November 2004, also at Fear Dark, published.
