Morten Nielsen (footballer born 1990)

Morten Nielsen (born 24 February 1990 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish football player. The striker is currently in Rot-Weiß Erfurt under contract for Denmark he played in the youth national teams. He is the son of former Danish international's Jørgen Nielsen, called Benny Nielsen.

Career

Nielsen began his career at Kjøbenhavns Bold club before he joined the youth academy of FC Chelsea in 2005. In July 2007 he signed his first professional contract, but mainly played in the reserve team of London.

In March 2009, the sporting director of Landskrona BoIS, Mats Aronsson was aware of him, with a loan deal was negotiated during the negotiations. After the lending in Sweden had ended and the person in charge of Chelsea saw no further use for the Danish national team, which is still ongoing contract was terminated. In July 2009 he signed for AZ Alkmaar, but could not prevail. In March 2010, Nielsen moved again on loan to Landskrona BoIS, where he was active under the leadership of Henrik Larsson.

In the summer of 2010 he returned to Denmark, where he signed a contract signed for first division side FC Midtjylland. After he was out of the 2010/11 season to use and at the beginning of the 2011/12 season just completed a short stint, he was end of August 2011 awarded by the end of the second division side FC Fredericia, where he was to gain more match practice. He, however, came only two appearances. In January 2012, he released his contract on with FC Midtjylland to seek a new challenge. However, he could not find a new club and therefore initially paused a few months.

In October 2012 Nielsen should undergo a trial with German third division side Rot-Weiß Erfurt, but could not arrive due to illness. In early January 2013, then got a second chance at Erfurt audition. Because of further injury to the calf, he incurred during training with the team, the duration of his Probetraing was extended. After he was able to convince, he signed a contract until the end of January 2013 to the end of the season 2012/13 with the option of a further year. His first try he graduated on February 2nd, 2013 while playing the 24th match day against VfL Osnabrück, in which he gave the presentation to the 2-1 victory. In November 2013 he released his contract for personal reasons in Erfurt on again.
