Moss Mabry

Moss Mabry ( * 1918 in Marianna, Florida, USA, † January 25, 2006 in Oceanside, California ) was an American costume designer.

Even for the theater at his high school Moss Mabry created the costumes. Afterwards, however, he studied at the University of Florida engineering. After graduating, he went to Hollywood, where he attended art school and worked for the couturier Don Loper. He also got in touch with the Warner Brothers Studios. During the 35- year career, which he began in 1953 as Gaderobier, he worked on about 90 films. Four times Mabry was nominated for an Oscar:

Profits he never could the price. Nevertheless, he was responsible for the costumes in various film classics and a dressed actresses such as Lana Turner, Lauren Bacall, Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, Doris Day and Liza Minnelli.
