Mount Morris is a town in Genesee County, Michigan, just north of Flint, which was first settled around 1833 by white Americans. He was named in 1867 after the city in New York, from which came many settlers. The town has about 3,200 inhabitants and an area of 3.1 km ².

Gained notoriety of the place on 29 February 2000, when only a six year old boy in elementary school shot and killed a six- year-old classmate.
