Mount Shinn

Mount Shinn is with 4661 m the third highest mountain in Antarctica. It is located just north of Mount Vinson. Through a pass these two mountains are connected.

The first ascent was made on December 21, 1966 by Barry Corbet, Charles Hollister, Sam Silverstein and Richard Wahlstrom, members of the expedition by Nick Clinch. This expedition get another 5 first ascents.
