Mount Shuksan

Mount Shuksan is a glaciated mountain in the North Cascades National Park in Washington state. It is located in Whatcom County, sixteen kilometers northeast of Mount Baker and about eighteen miles south of the Canadian border.

Geology

The mountain consists of Shuksan Greenschist ( Shuksan greenschist ), which has formed from oceanic basalt by the collision of the Easton terrane with the North American continent from about 120 million years ago.
