The Mount Veniaminof is a 2,507 m high stratovolcano of the Aleutian Island chain on the Alaska Peninsula. The volcano was named after Ivan Veniaminov (1797-1879), a Russian Orthodox priest who evangelized the Aleut population.

Around 1750 BC there was at Mount Veniaminof a volcanic eruption of magnitude 6 on the Vulkanexplosivitätsindex, the formation of a large caldera (8 x 11 km) resulted had. In recent history there have been several small outbreaks, more than ten since 1930.

Veniaminof is one of the highest volcanoes in Alaska and is therefore covered by a glacier that fills a large part of the caldera. In the future, an eruption of the volcano to the emergence of a glacier run could result.

1967 Mount Veniaminof was designated as a National Natural Landmark.
