Moussa Maâzou

Ouwo Moussa Maazou ( born August 25, 1988 in Niamey ) is a Nigerien footballer who plays from the 2013/14 season with the Portuguese club Vitória Guimarães.

Career

Association

Ouwo Maazou Moussa was born in Niamey and started his career in 1998 in the youth of the army clubs ASFAN Niamey. In 2005 he made ​​his debut in the first team. In the 2005/06 season he scored 17 goals. In the following season 2006/ 07 he scored 20 goals in 34 games. In January 2008, he was sold to the Belgian club Sporting Lokeren. ASFAN allegedly got him a transfer fee of 327 million CFA Franc BCEAO (about 490,500 Euros ). By the end of the season, he went to eight league operations and a goal on matchday 31 against Cercle Brugge.

On 3 January 2009, he signed a contract with the Russian top club CSKA Moscow. The Moscow spent 4.8 million euros for Maazou, however, he was given until June 1, 2009, his former club Sporting Lokeren. After the Russians reached the knockout stages of the UEFA Cup in 2008/ 09, he was recalled to Russia and was from 12 March to the squad of CSKA Moscow. After fifteen games and three goals he was loaned in January 2010 to the end of the season at the French club AS Monaco. The club had to a call option with a transfer fee of 4.5 million euros. After eighteen games and five goals, he returned to Moscow. For the 2010/11 season he was awarded for half a year at Girondins Bordeaux. Even Bordeaux had an option to buy. At the end of the loan period, he was loaned to AS Monaco in January 2011 again.

During the 2011/12 season Maazou was loaned to two different clubs. The first half year he played for SV Zulte Waregem, in which, however, he completed only four league games. From January to May 2012, he was awarded the Le Mans FC. At Le Mans he hit in 15 games twice.

For the 2012/13 season, he joined the Tunisian club Etoile Sportive du Sahel. After one season he moved to Portugal Maazou to Vitória Guimarães.

National

Maazou is a member of Niger's national football team since 2008. He made his debut on May 31, 2008 in Kampala against Uganda. He scored his first international goal on 10 October 2010 against Egypt. Less than a month later, on 17 November, in a friendly match against Libya was followed by his second goal.
