The Regal Empress was a 1953 Alexander Stephen and Sons shipyard built under the hull number 636 in Glasgow passenger ship. The ship was delivered on 12 October 1953, the Greek Line and came as the Olympic momentum. It has been used for travel between Piraeus and New York. From 1961 it also operated the ports of Limassol and Haifa. In addition, it has now been temporarily used for cruises. In 1970 the ship was converted into a cruise ship. It had eight accessible for passengers decks.

In 1981, the ship was sold to Sally Shipping in Hamburg and renamed Caribe. From March to June 1983 it was rebuilt at the HDW - German shipyard in Hamburg. In this case, inter alia, also the steam turbine drive was replaced by a diesel engine. Subsequently, the ship was sold to Panama and renamed Caribe I. 1993 went to Regal Cruise Line and has now been used under the name Regal Empress. Since May 2003, the ship sailed for Imperial Majesty Cruises, who used it for cruises to the Bahamas. In March 2009, the ship was sold to an Indian scrap yard and transferred in April of the year under the name Regal Tmpress to India, where it was subsequently canceled in Alang.
